Got A PlayStation? You Can Now Stream Hundreds Of Free Movies

Your Playstation will now be the latest place to stream your fave movies.

Let’s face it, Netflix is going downhill. From insane price hikes and the ban on password sharing teamed with the fact that the UK Netflix doesn’t always have the best selection of content, most people are keen to look elsewhere for stuff to stream.

Luckily, if you can’t afford to have a subscription for Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and all the other streaming services out there, if you own a Playstation it could be your latest streaming companion.

How can I stream movies on my Playstation?

If you have a Playstation 4 or 5 you will now be able to access the new Sony Pictures Core app which is bringing streaming to Playstation. The app was previously only available on Sony TVs, but thanks to this move, Playsation users will also be able to take advantage of what it has to offer.

To access the app you’ll need to sign up and create a free account to get instant access to ad-free and free Sony movie content. The app is fairly new and the free catalogue will be expanding over the coming months, however, you’ll also be able to buy or rent all of the latest movies too. This is similar to how Amazon Prime operates, however, you need to have an Amazon Prime account to be able to take advantage of this–– which you need to pay for. The Sony Pictures Core app is 100% free to use for all Playstation users, with the option to pay for the latest movies.

This is great for students who might not have a TV or access to other streaming apps, as if you have a Playstation already this is a great free extra you can take advantage of for movie nights.
